Omololu Olufunso Ajayi is the Chief Information Officer at Keystone Bank Limited, Nigeria, and an award-winning executive technology leader with over 22 years of experience in information technology, banking systems, and digital transformation across the Nigerian financial services industry. Recognized as the Best CIO of the Year (Nigeria) at the Africa Bank Summit 4.0 Awards in 2023, he has built a distinguished career anchored in pioneering the end to end technology setup of commercial banks from the ground up.

Omololu began his career in 2001 at Wema Bank Plc. as an Application Developer. He proceeded to Zenith Bank Plc. in 2007 as a Database Administrator, strengthening his expertise in database management and core banking application support. In 2014, he joined Access Bank Plc. as Lead, Enterprise Application Management, where he led critical upgrades and integrations of core banking systems and enterprise applications.

In 2019, he was appointed Chief Information Officer and Head of Digital Transformation at Titan Trust Bank Limited (now Union Bank), where he successfully architected and deployed the full technology stack for a newly licensed commercial bank, including core banking applications, digital channels, and high-availability infrastructure. He replicated this achievement at Signature Bank Limited between 2022 and 2024, leading the implementation of Oracle Flexcube, digital banking platforms, enterprise process automation systems, and robust data centre infrastructure.

He also served as Group Head of Technology and Digital Transformation at SecureID Group, where he drove enterprise-wide digital strategy and innovation across IT consulting, financial services, and managed services. Most recently, he served as Chief Information Officer at Lotus Bank Limited, where he led the bank’s IT strategy, digital transformation roadmap, innovation initiatives, and disaster recovery planning, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory standards.

Omololu holds a Master’s degree in Information Technology from the University of Lagos and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Ado Ekiti. He is a certified COBIT® 5 Foundation and COBIT® 5 Lead Implementer professional. His technical expertise spans core banking platforms, cloud computing, IT governance, cybersecurity, Oracle infrastructure, microservices architecture, enterprise application integration, and large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
