Senator Farouk Bello is a Non- Executive Director at Keystone Bank Limited. He has over three decades of experience across various sectors of the banking industry, including retail banking, corporate banking, public sector financing, Asset Management and strategic management initiatives.
Farouk began his career in banking in 1988 rising from an ET to Executive Director and in year 2003, took a four years break to serve as a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria actively contributing in finance, privatization, Oil and Gas, and capital markets. He later returned to Banking in Executive capacity in year 2007 and retired in 2009. He is currently a businessman with investments in Real Estate, Hospitality, Finance and Agriculture.
Farouk holds an M.Sc. in Monetary Economics from the University of Lagos and a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Sokoto. In addition to his academic achievements, Farouk has completed leadership courses at Harvard Business School and Euromoney in London, where he sharpened his skills in corporate governance, banking operations, and strategic management.
Farouk’s wealth of experience, combined with his strategic vision, has established him as a key figure in financial and business circles. He continues to contribute to the economic development of Nigeria through his leadership roles across multiple sectors.
