Susan Abisola Giwa-Osagie is a Non- Executive Director at Keystone Bank Limited with over three decades of experience across insurance, banking, legal advisory, and corporate governance in Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya.

Susan began her career as an Associate Counsel at Femi Okunu SAN & Co. In 2004, she joined NEM Insurance Plc as Executive Director, Marketing/Business Development, where she led a transformation of the Oil and Gas portfolio, achieving a fivefold growth in 10 years. She played a pivotal role in recapitalization efforts, investor relations, and strategic expansion. Susan was appointed Deputy Managing Director in 2014, a role she held until 2020, during which she spearheaded projects including the establishment of NEM Insurance Ghana and the development of investment properties in Lagos.

She is currently the Chairperson of Guaranty Trust Fund Managers and Advisory Board Chair at St Cyril Cancer Foundation. She also serves as a Non-Executive Director at NEM Insurance Nigeria and an IFC-nominated Independent Director on the Board of Britam Holdings Kenya. She previously held board roles at Regency NEM Insurance Ghana and Ultimate Health HMO Nigeria.

She holds an LLM in Law from the University of Lagos and an LLB (Hons) in Law from the University of Warwick. She is certified by the Nigerian Institute of Management, the Nigerian Institute of Marketing, the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria, and an alumna of Women Executives on Boards (WEOB). In addition to her academic achievements, Susan has completed strategic courses from prestigious institutions including Harvard Business School, the Wharton University, Columbia University, and the University of Pennsylvania.

Throughout her career, Susan has consistently demonstrated a commitment to corporate governance and enterprise risk management across Africa.
