With over 20 years experience in banking, Shehu Abubakar has spent 15 years at senior management level in the industry delivering top level financial solutions to the Public Sector at the Federal Level.
Shehu’s key roles involve the identification of critical service needs in the sector and developing satisfactory financial products to meet these needs. These include his central contributions during the divestiture of NNPC, NPA and NMA’s shares in FSB International Bank which resulted in the first success story of Nigeria’s privatization programme.
Under Shehu’s purview since November 2005, the post consolidation of Public Sector Division of Fidelity Bank Plc, had been extraordinarily expanded and a force to reckon with in terms of number of clientele, volume of business and number of workforce. This included work with NPA, NMA, NSPMC, NITEL and in various sectors including the Agricultural Sector.
Shehu is passionate about utilising the skills and experiences acquired over the years in providing financial solutions in the public sector. He is a graduate of Business Management from Uthman Danfodio University and an MBA in view from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
